Due to growth and expansion in our projects division, we are looking for an experienced engineer with exceptional technical skills. Are you ready for your next move up?

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead structured cabling installations: Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, fiber optics (SM/MM).
• Install, terminate, test, and certify all cables using appropriate tools (e.g., Fluke, OTDR).
• Plan and coordinate installation of ELV systems:
• CCTV, access control, intercoms, PA systems, and fire alarms.
• Install and configure ELV devices including biometric readers, door controllers, IP cameras, and alarm panels.
• Interpret technical drawings, layout designs, and structured cabling schematics.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare materials/tools for implementation.
• Supervise junior technicians and subcontractors on installations.
• Maintain organized documentation, including test results, as-built drawings, and labeling.
• Ensure compliance with TIA/EIA, BICSI, ISO/IEC, and local building codes.
• Enforce HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) practices at all job sites.

Skills and Competencies:

• Structured Cabling: Copper and Fibre Cabling standards and termination
• ELV Systems: Knowledge of IP-based and analog CCTV, biometric readers, access control panels
• Documentation & Reporting: Excel, Visio or AutoCAD for layouts/as-builts, Daily progress and test reports
• Technical Leadership: Leads by example, ensuring best practices and coaching junior staff
• Analytical Thinking: Quick and effective in troubleshooting structured cabling and ELV faults
• Communication and Time Management

Minimum Qualifications & Certifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in structured cabling (5+ years for Team Leader roles)
• Certification in BICSI, CCNA, or vendor-specific training is highly desirable
• Fiji citizen or permanent resident
• Police clearance and clean driver’s license
