Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the IT Support team in providing technical support to clients via phone, email, or in-person visits, diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripherals, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices for clients.
- Learn and assist in managing and maintaining the network infrastructure of clients, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, virus scans, and backups, to ensure the stability and security of client IT environments.
- Collaborate with external vendors to resolve issues and implement new technology solutions for clients.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals and IT policies and procedures for clients.
- Assist in conducting training sessions to educate clients on the use of hardware and software systems.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives for clients, as needed.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of IT equipment and supplies for clients.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and information security policies for clients.
Skills and Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other software applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in learning about networking protocols, network security, and telecommunications systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues to non-technical clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications & Certifications
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Fiji citizen or permanent resident
- Police clearance and clean driver’s license
