VT Solutions Elevates ITACC Convention Experience in Aotearoa (New Zealand) with Fiji Tech Professionals
[Aotearoa, New Zealand] – VT Solutions, a leading technology solutions provider, celebrated a milestone in its annual Information Technology and Communication Convention (ITACC) by hosting it in the picturesque land of Aotearoa (New Zealand). This year’s event marked a significant departure from tradition as VT Solutions extended a warm welcome to a delegation of Fiji Tech Professionals. The week-long extravaganza showcased the company’s commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration within the tech industry.
ITACC, a longstanding tradition at VT Solutions, was transformed into an international affair, featuring one-on-one sessions and exclusive visits to top-tier tech vendors such as Fortinet, HPE, Aruba, Lenovo, and Cisco Meraki, among others. Notably, these engagements were thoughtfully customized to address the unique challenges faced by the Fiji and Pacific tech landscapes, resulting in highly productive discussions and actionable insights.
A standout moment of the trip was the Fiji team’s invitation to CybersecCon 2023 (CCC), hosted by Chillisoft NZ. CCC, New Zealand’s largest cybersecurity event, attracted over 560 security professionals this year. Attendees were treated to a diverse array of presentations from industry leaders, engaging debates, workshops, and hands-on training sessions. The event provided a deep dive into cutting-edge cybersecurity products and solutions, while fostering an atmosphere conducive to addressing current cybersecurity issues and concerns.
VT Solutions’ Fiji team had the privilege of networking with prominent security professionals from diverse sectors, including banking (ANZ & Westpac), Auckland Airport, Ports of Tauranga, NZ Police (Crime Lab), University of Auckland, Municipal Councils, and the NZ Transport Agency, among others.
The highlight of the evening was the recognition bestowed upon VT Solutions from Fiji, winning two prestigious awards: the Eset Partner of the Year Award and the Mimecast Acceleration Partner of the Year Award. Mr. Sharma, accompanied by his executive team and the entire Fiji contingent, graciously accepted the awards. In his acceptance speech, he expressed, “We are humbled to be here and to be recognized by the best of breed in the industry. Coming from Fiji, we are always punching above our weight class, but just like our Flying Fijians, we say Bula Vinaka and bring it on! I dedicate these awards to our customers without whom we have no reason to exist and to my fanatical team who live and breathe VT.” Mr. Sharma also acknowledged the Chillisoft team for their tireless efforts in ensuring the event’s success and for their continued support in rolling out some of the largest cybersecurity deployments in Fiji.
Adding to the accolades of the evening was Ms. Ayesha Lata, a cybersecurity specialist from Fiji National University, who was named a finalist in the nominations for Cybersecurity Woman of The Year 2023.
As a fitting conclusion to an incredible week, the VT Solutions team returned home to Fiji with the added joy of celebrating a victory by the Flying Fijians.
