Suva, Fiji – April 28, 2024 – VT Solutions, one of Fiji’s leading ICT organizations, proudly announces the successful conclusion of Fiji Cybersec 2024, an immersive and insightful cybersecurity week with the main event held at the prestigious Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva, Fiji. With the invaluable support of vendors including Chillisoft New Zealand, Eset, Netskope, and Mimecast, Fiji Cybersec 2024 proved to be an excellent platform for sharing of ideas and experiences as well as exploring bleeding-edge cyber-defense solutions pertinent to the organizations in Fiji and the Pacific.

The event commenced with great anticipation as Chief Guest, Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Manoa Kamikamica, inaugurated the proceedings. Drawing over 260 registrations, including delegates from neighboring Pacific islands, Fiji Cybersec 2024 surpassed expectations, embodying a perfect amalgamation of technical expertise, strategic insights, and collaborative discourse.

The day unfolded with a hands-on technical session, providing attendees with practical skills and knowledge essential for navigating the evolving cybersecurity landscape. Transitioning seamlessly into presentations and interactive discussions, participants delved deep into the current threat landscape, specifically focusing on Fiji and the Pacific Islands.

Highlighting the latest in cyber defense strategies from industry-leading vendors, the event also featured invaluable insights from local government representatives, underscoring the importance of a cohesive approach to cybersecurity. Moreover, a dedicated session explored the intricacies of one of Fiji’s largest cybersecurity projects, offering attendees a firsthand glimpse into local initiatives driving digital transformation.

Fiji Cybersec 2024 marks the fifth installment of this transformative event in VT Solutions’ calendar. Originating from the annual ICT awareness event, ITACC, which VT Solutions pioneered back in 2006, the evolution of Fiji Cybersec underscores VT Solutions’ commitment to advancing cybersecurity in the region.
